The Valparaiso High School varsity volleyball team traveled up to Michigan City to participate in the Michigan City Tournament on September 17, 2011 and came home with the championship after staying undefeated throughout.
The Vikings first faced off against Warsaw, marking the only match during the tournament when Valpo needed three games to take out their opponent. The Vikings won 25-12, 26-24, 15-12. The Vikings then faced off against New Prairie, winning 25-23, 25-17.
The next match for Valpo had the Vikings face off against the Woodlan High School from Woodburn, Indiana. The Vikes made quick work of the Warriors, winning 25-11 in both games. In the championship match, Valpo took on Fort Wayne Concordia, coming away with a 25-18, 25-9 victory to secure the championship for the Vikings.
