The Porter County League of Women Voters will be registering voters on seven different dates at five locations throughout Porter County this month.
“In 2014, Indiana ranked 51st – dead last – in terms of getting eligible voters to the polls. We’re working on doing something about that,” said Valerie Lambert, President of the Porter County League of Women Voters.
Lambert explained that even people who have registered to vote may not have re-registered after they’ve moved, which is important. “We’ll be helping people confirm their registration and find their polling places as needed, in addition to signing up new voters,” Lambert said.
Local stores and agencies throughout Porter County have volunteered to cooperate with the voter registration effort. If you want to register to vote – or just learn more where to go on Election Day (November 3rd) – stop by one of these voter registration booths this month:
