Banta Block Party & 100 Year Celebration

Join the Banta Neighborhood Association and Valpo Parks for this free, family-friendly event to celebrate the end of summer and the beloved Banta Activity Center’s 100th Birthday!

The party will run from 4pm - 7pm and will include live music, a bouncy house, lawn games and food vendors. Purchase food from Tocayo’s, Dogg House, or Hungry Howie’s throughout the event, and enjoy FREE ice cream and cake while supplies last.

At 3:45pm there will be a short plaque dedication ceremony to mark the 100th birthday of the Banta building opening. Guests can also enjoy historical tours through the Banta Activity Center at 4:30pm & 6pm, where they can tour the inside of the building and learn about its history as a school and important landmark in our neighborhood.
