Event Information

This event has expired.

Gross Motor Development class for ages birth to 6 months presented by Kidworks physical therapist Lisa Corsica.

With all the information out there, it can be hard to decipher the good stuff from the not-so-good stuff. In this session, we will discuss gross motor development of your infant from birth to 6 months of age.

Topics will include the following:

  • Tummy time, why it’s important and ways to make it fun.
  • How you can interact with your infant during tummy time, and how to make it easier for babies that are resistant to this position.
  • Activities to do while your infant is lying on his/her back.
  • Visual engagement, hands to midline, hands to mouth, hands to feet, feet to mouth, turning head from side to side.
  • Progression of tummy skills.
  • Ways to encourage rolling.
  • Sitting skills.
  • What to look out for if your infant is not progressing and possible interventions.
  • Torticollis and how to manage it.

This class will be taught by Kidworks therapist and hosted by Associated Pediatricians.

The class is open to 10 parents along with their infants. Call Kidworks or Associated Pediatricians to RSVP!
