  • Mark Dobrzycki - a resident of Harwood Heights, IL - will speak on "Chicago's Polish Americans."

Mark is the current director of the Amicus Poloniae Legal Clinic in Chicago. In 2016, the Advocates Society of Polish-American Lawyers awarded Mark and the Clinic the Vanguard Award, which honors individuals and institutions who have made the law and legal profession more accessible to and reflective of the community at large. Mark was the first Polish-American, and first non-attorney, to receive this award.

Earlier this year, the Teraz Polska (Poland Now) Foundation of Warsaw, Poland, presented Mark with their “Wybitny Polak w USA 2019, Chicago Edition, Osobowosc Roku (Person or Personality of the Year) Award” for his lifetime contribution to Chicago's Polonia.

The event is hosted by the PACS in celebration of Polish-American Heritage Month. The group's facilitator is Rev. Walter Rakoczy of Michigan City, Ind.
