On Saturday, June 11th, 2022, the La Porte County Family YMCA will be hosting the 42nd annual triathlon, beginning at 8:00AM CST
The race, which should conclude by 10:30AM, entails a quarter-mile swim, a 12.4 mile bike, and a 3.2 mile run. The course will be closed to through traffic beginning at 7:45AM. Please note that Police and course monitors will be turning away traffic, with the exception of residents who live directly on the route. Those local residents will be permitted to enter and exit the route during slow periods of the race at the course monitor’s discretion. Cyclists are moving at high rates of speed, if you must leave, please exercise extreme caution when approaching intersections or pulling out of driveways.
With authority from the City of La Porte Board of Public Works, as well as the Office of the La Porte County Commissioners, the following roads/areas will be closed:
