Join us at St. Catherine Hospital for a two-part series as Amit Kakkar, MD, medical director of cardiac services, discusses “Matters of the Heart.” Topics will include warning signs and symptoms of heart disease and pulmonary embolisms.

Is it a Heart Attack? | Thursday, Oct. 5 | 9-10 am

Knowledge is power, which is even more important when it comes to heart health. Learn what to look out for so you can protect yourself from a heart attack. Fast intervention saves lives.

The Silent Killer | Thursday, Nov. 16 | 9-10 am

Life-threatening blood clots can happen to anyone. Up to one-third of patients with a pulmonary embolism do not even know it until it is an emergency. Learn about the signs and symptoms of pulmonary embolisms and treatment options.

Participants also will hear from patients who have been treated at St. Catherine Hospital for these conditions.

Registration is required. Call 219-703-2046. Participants may attend both or either session.
