Michigan City Police Candyland Kiddie Parade

Event Information

This year's theme will be "Candyland" and we urge all children ages 0-12 to participate! Trophies and ribbons will be awarded, and a host of celebrity judges will be present. The categories for costumes are as follows:

• Costumed Individuals (0 to 5 years old)
• Costumed Individuals (6 to 12 years old)
• Decorated Wagons and Floats
• Decorated Bikes
• Pets (with costumed individual)
• Organized Groups (School/Church or Day Care/Neighborhood) under 15 members
• Organzied Groups (School/Church or Day Care/Neighborhood) over 15 members

The parade will travel from 7th St. north down Franklin Square to 4th St. ending in front of the library. After the parade, we will be serving ice cream treats to all participants.

Registration begins at 1 PM at Healthlinc located at 7th and Franklin St. Treat bags will be given to all participants. Judging will be at 1:15 PM - 1:45 PM. After that, we begin the line-up where the parade will begin at 2 PM and run north on Franklin St. to 4th St. at the Michigan City Library.

Franklin St. will be closed to traffic so we are asking that all participants park in the La Porte County Courthouse Parking Lot at and at the Horizon Bank Parking Lot located at 5th and Pine St. and walk to Healthlinc to register.
