Aco Sikoski has a passion for education and preparing people of all backgrounds for their lives. Originally from Ohrid, Macedonia, Aco ended up living most of his life in Valparaiso, Indiana when he moved to the United States in the late 1980s and worked as an electrical engineer for steel mills in Northwestern Indiana.
Aco discovered a love for teaching and helping others achieve their educational goals with his first job as a lab technician at his alma matter. While attending classes at Ivy Tech, Aco was approached to teach part-time and became an adjunct faculty member in summer 1994. Aco’s love for teaching resurfaced, and he became a full-time faculty member in summer 1997. Over the years, he was promoted to program chair, department chair and division chair. In 2009, Aco was appointed as the dean for the School of Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering and Applied Science. In 2012, Aco was then appointed to serve as the campus president for the Valparaiso Campus. In 2017, he was appointed to serve as the campus chancellor for the Valparaiso Campus, which grew to include the Michigan City and La Porte sites starting in 2019.
