Event Information

Mayor Josh, Hobart Fire, & Hobart Police are excited to bring you the opportunity to become a Hobart Safe Citizen.

We will be offering 4 classes that will educate you on what to do in an emergency situation.

Complete all 4 courses & receive a special edition Project Safe Citizen coin & swag bag!

Fire Safety

Wed. May 15

Police Training Room

This course dives into common fire hazards, teaching escape routes for your home, use of a fire extinguisher, & extra safety tips for your home.

Gun Safety

Thurs. June 20
6PM
Police Training Room

This course will consist of gun safety tips and the proper storage and handling of firearms.

This will be in a classroom setting & no firearms will be present.

Stop the Bleed

Thurs. Oct 10
6PM
Police Training Room

This course will teach 3 life-saving techniques to make a life-or-death difference when a bleeding emergency happens.

Self-Defense

Fri. Nov 15
6PM
MRC Back Gym

This course will consist of novice techniques that assist participant to better get out of a dangerous situation.

Participants must be at least 12 yrs old.
