The Lake County Park & Recreation Department is hosting a public forums on Thursday November 7th from 2-6 at Bellaboo’s Play & Discovery Center (2800 Colorado St. Lake Station, IN 46405). Residents of Lake County and the surrounding area are invited to come to this open house to share their thoughts and impressions of Lake County Parks. Attendees will also have the opportunity to offer suggestions as to what programs, activities, facilities, or events they would like to see the department add, update, or change over the next five years.

All information gathered will be used as part of the update to the Department’s Five Year Park & Recreation Master Plan, which acts as a guideline for future planning and management. The event is free, and Bellaboo’s play areas will remain open for those who would like to attend with their children. This listening session will include refreshments, opportunities to chat with Lake County Parks professionals, and updates on the previous master plan.

Those unable to attend are still encouraged to share their thoughts and fill out a survey online by visiting lakecountyparks.com/survey . Paper copies of the survey are also available and can be picked up at the Lake County Parks main office ( 8411 E. Lincoln Hwy.
