Instagram Workshop Spotlights Path to #Success

Crown Point – The NW-ISBDC is teaming with social media consultant Breanne Failor for a brand-new workshop on Instagram for small business owners.

#Success with Instagram: Easy Tips and Tricks for Your Small Business will be from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday Sept. 24 at the Purdue Technology Center of NWI, 9800 Connecticut Drive in the main conference room.

The workshop will focus on Instagram business account basics, such as writing a profile description, creating posts, targeting ideal clients and building relationships and brand awareness.

Failor said Instagram is one of the fastest growing social media platforms and users are utilizing it to uncover new brands and companies.

“Social media, specifically Instagram, doesn’t have to be hard. You can grow your online brand and community without spending hours a day doing it,” she said. “Social media is not a billboard; it is a way to connect and network with your current and ideal customers.”

Serving seven counties in the region, the NW-ISBDC offers no-cost assistance for entrepreneurs starting or expanding their businesses. Through one-on-one consulting, the NW-ISBDC helps guide small businesses toward their goals by offering referrals, workshops, training opportunities and other essential business tools. It is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Small Business Administration, the State of Indiana and other local partners.
