Valparaiso Firefighters L1124 Annual Picnic

Event Information

This highly-attended in-person event has returned! Valparaiso Firefighters Local 1124 invite you to enjoy a free lunch, visit with the firefighters, learn about fire safety, look at the Fire/EMS apparatus, play at FOUNDATION MEADOWS/BUTTERFLY MEADOWS AND CATERPILLAR CROSSING PARK, and run through the water curtain.

Please bring sunscreen, hat/sunglasses, beach towel, bathing suit, and dry clothes/shoes!

At this event we are inviting 2 non-profit organizations that help Porter County students in need to fundraise for their causes:

* The Valpo Schools Foundation Backpack Program. For their back to school drive, they are collecting: backpacks, dry erase markers, pencils, 3-ring binders, headphones/ear buds, reusable water bottles, games and puzzles (age 6-12). * Dressed for School. They are accepting donations of unused clothing (with tags still on) in children's sizes 5-18, new children's gym shoes in whole and half sizes, as well as monetary donations. This nonprofit organization provides new clothing to elementary students from low-income families or families in crisis in a supportive store-like environment, free of charge.
