BOYS BASEBALL Lowell VS. Hanover 2024
The Hanover Central Wildcats defeated the Lowell Red Devils 11-8 in an extra-innings showdown on Tuesday evening.
The Wildcats were down heading into the seventh inning when sophomore shortstop Dylan Bowen knocked a go-ahead double. The Red Devils rallied to send the game to extras in the seventh, and equaled a three-run outburst from Hanover in the bottom of the eighth to take the game to the ninth.
One more three-run rally from Hanover put the Wildcats on top, and sophomore pitcher/infielder Jacob Siska struck out three straight Red Devils to seal the win in nine innings.
Hanover moves to 13-2 on the season, while Lowell falls to 4-6. The Wildcats will get back into action on Thursday when they host Washington Township, while the Red Devils will travel to face-off with Hebron that same evening.
