BOYS BASEBALL SECTIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP Chesterton VS. Lowell 2024

The Chesterton Trojans are Sectional Champions – having defeated the Lowell Red Devils 7-4 on Monday, May 27 at the IHSAA Baseball Sectional Championship, hosted at Crown Point High School.

The Trojans were led by sophomore center fielder Rob Czarneicki, who opened the scoring with a two run home run in the first inning. He added an RBI walk later in the game, as well as a double.

Starting pitcher, senior Brayden Barrett, also played a leading role by delivering a complete game effort – seven innings pitched, allowing six hits, four runs, with eight strikeouts against two walks.

Chesterton (22-6) will face the Lake Central Indians (21-9) on June 1 in the Regional Championship.
