GIRLS BASKETBALL REGIONAL Eastside VS. Andrean 2025

Eastside and Gary Andrean girls basketball teams met on Friday night for a shot at the Regional Championship and a trip to the semi-state.

Andrean led 10 – 8 after the first quarter. Eastside jumped ahead at half time 21-12. Andrean pulled back to tie the game at 26 after the third. Eastside held strong to come out on top 39-27 to take home the 2A title.

Head Coach, Mike Lortie said “They are a very special group. I mean, we’ve been working for this for a year. We’ve been fueled since last year when we lost the sectional. Andrean was a great team. They played really good, really physical, maybe a little more physical than we thought, but our girls adapted to it as we went through the game, and I thought we played really well down the stretch, especially in the fourth.”
