Popcorn Panic 2023

It's the 45th year of the Popcorn Panic! This event has over 1,000 participants annually, running and walking through our beautiful tree-lined city streets. Choose to run 5 miles, or shorten it up with the 5K run/walk. You also have the option to participate as a team in the 5K!

Join the 45th running of the Popcorn Panic. A community tradition for over four decades, this event has over 1,000 participants annually, running and walking through our tree-lined city streets.  In teams or as individuals, you can choose to run the 5 miles or shorten it up with a 5K run or walk.  

Team Competition – 5K participants are encouraged to form teams! Teams must have at least 4 finishers to be eligible for team award. Winner is determined by computer analysis of the overall place of the top 4 team members. Team members are also eligible for individual awards.

• Time:  7:20 am 5 mile / 7:30 am 5K
• Fee:  $33 until 8/13, $38 after 8/13.  Same day registration $43
• Register by 8/13 to guarantee shirt size.  No shirt option save $5
• Event check-in from 6 - 6:45 am, Same day registration $43
