City of Hammond Launches Residential Lot Portal, Transforming Vacant Land into Vibrant Homes

The City of Hammond, in partnership with the Hammond Redevelopment Commission, is launching a new online portal designed to streamline the process of purchasing and redeveloping City-owned residential lots. This initiative marks a significant step in the city’s ongoing commitment to fostering community growth and transforming vacant land into thriving homes.

The newly launched landing page, accessible at https://www.gohammond.com/property-portal/ , provides a comprehensive and user-friendly inventory of over 500 available City-owned residential lots. Key features of the portal include:

The portal is meant to be user friendly and will be the first step in connecting interested buyers with the city. After the initial application is received a member of the city’s planning and development team will reach out to connect with the potential buyer and discuss how to move forward with the transfer of the property.
