A Note from the Michiana Humane Society: Set an Extra Place

How was your holiday dinner this weekend? Did you have many people around the table? Could you have fed another 27% if they had shown up? What if they needed to spend the night?

That is the challenge the Michiana Humane Society faced this year. Intakes were up 27%. We were able to meet the challenge to feed, vaccinate, and care for them because we have a great team in the shelter, and a wonderful circle of people who support our efforts and cheer us on.

Our year-end campaign raises funds to start 2017 ready for anything - a "Petey-sick" puppy, a hoarder's cats, a month-long blizzard that keeps adopters away.
