To carry out that mission of great news, GreatNews.Life is seeking a full-time Human Resources & Billing Coordinator at the company’s office, which is located in Valparaiso.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Aids in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training of new staff members
- Provides staff performance evaluations that are timely, constructive, and attentive
- Partners with leadership and management teams in executing the evaluations and onboarding of current and new staff members
- Fields questions as they arise from staff members and interested applicants
- Executes company policy in areas such as vacation, holiday, and sick days
- Coordinates employee initiatives that provide opportunity for training, growth, and development
- Maintains standards and filings with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Uses QuickBooks to set up, organize, and administer contracts, invoices, and client administration
- Coordinates weekly payroll, hourly time tracking, and all related documentation both electronically and physically
- Assists management and administrative team with operating the office
Required qualifications:
- Outstanding ethics and character handling personnel and billing matters
- Detail-oriented
- Passionate and enthusiastic about work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft programs and Google Drive applications
- Ability to prioritize and delegate assigned tasks when appropriate
- Ability to learn new management systems
Preferred qualifications:
- Proficiency with QuickBooks
- Degree in human resources, communications, business administration, or a related field
- One to two years of experience in the field of human resources or business administration
