At last night's board meeting I shared a promising statistic. Comparing 2015 to 2013, adoptions at the Michiana Humane Society are up 15% and euthanasias are down 33%.
Our pets are staying healthier and happier, giving us time to find good homes for them.
We can continue to improve, and we will, so that some day Remember Me Thursday will only be for pets who achieve old age. But this year, on September 24, we will light candles for the pets who never found homes and we will remember how hard we tried.
