Washing Clothes?

Did you know that twistable measuring cup caps attached to plastic laundry detergent bottles are 100% recyclable? Twistable detergent measuring caps can be tricky. In years past it's been suggested that they aren't recyclable. Locally, twistable laundry detergent caps are 100% recyclable. It's suggested to keep caps on bottles for curbside recycling. In the U.S. there's new shift in trend on production of detergent bottles. Major companies like Unilever are making the switch to paper based bottles in efforts to be more environmentally efficient.

Ordering Pizza?

Whole pizza boxes shouldn't be placed in curbside recycling. While it's easy to finish off a large pizza in no time grease forever lingers on cardboard and contaminates the recycling process. It's suggested to cut pizza boxes up and recycle clean, unsoiled parts if cardboard is completely dry with no stains or food remnants. Clean and dry cardboard is 100% recyclable. Pro Tip: Tear up greasy sections of pizza boxes and place pieces in at-home compost piles.
